Child care

The Ann Arbor Women’s Group fulfills a crucial need for parents in recovery — providing free child care with background checked, Red Cross CPR-certified caregivers for parents who attend recovery meetings.

How it works / policies

  • Child care is available for children 3 - 11 years old.

  • Fill out a child/parent info card the first time you drop off your child.

  • The same adult must sign in your child in with a staff member and sign them out after the meeting.

  • Leave all the items your child needs (diapers, bottles, etc.) with a staff member.

  • Text or call (734) 707-9780 with any questions. (Text for a quicker response.)

Kids love our child care!

Special thanks…

Enormous thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor, who have again made a very generous donation.

Become a child care champion

$10 a month supports two weeks of free child care. Please consider giving a parent in recovery the gift of being able to attend their 12 step meetings while their child is safely watched by the A2WG child care staff.

  1. Visit the Donate page.

  2. Choose the amount you want to contribute and how often.

  3. Specify Child care as the specific fund.

  4. Make it a monthly reoccuring donation.

It’s a frustrating dilemma. You’re a better parent when you attend meetings, but you can’t get to meetings because you’re a parent.
